Stephen Ministry

Broadway's Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those experiencing all kinds of life crises, both in our congregation and in the community.

Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of initial training in caring ministry concepts and skills. They are commissioned as Stephen Ministers after completing the initial training and making a commitment to preserve confidentiality. They continue to participate in regular support and supervision under the guidance of trained Stephen leaders.

Broadway believes there is a unique and significant relationship between a person's emotional/mental health and their spiritual well being. The Counseling Center represents Broadway's commitment to caring for the whole person.

Experienced and caring therapists provide all counseling services. All our counselors are appropriately licensed and certified to provide high quality services. We welcome individuals, families or couples who are members of Broadway or are referred by a member of the church's ministerial staff.

Broadway's Counseling Center works with clients on a variety of needs including relationship problems, anxiety disorders and depression. Counselors evaluate and assess the issues and offer appropriate psychotherapy.
